, the fbi is involved because the hercules police here are desperate for leads. the family led the procession of more than 200 people to the front of the hercules home for a candlelight vigil. candles and flowers lined the front of their home along with the police tape. a painful reminder of her killing. >> she sacrificed herself by spending the first 10 to 12 years after the kids. everybody treats her like everybody's mother. >> reporter: her body was found in her home by a neighbor. her husband was the one who asked the neighbor to check on her when she failed to pick him up from the airport. >> we know the victim was stabbed and we don't have a weapon at this point so we thought there might possibly be a blood trail. they asked the fbi to help come in and solve this crime because their investigative unit dealing with homicides is so small. agents were at the home this afternoon, gathering evidence. >> we're still for the vehicle. when it left here, it had an idaho license plate to the best of our knowledge. we wanted to let the community know the plate may have been removed.
